Muslim Chaplain drop-in Tuesdays (term-time) 12-2pm.

For many Muslim students, the Students' Union student society is an important social and religious focus.


Masajid (Mosques)

The Muslim chaplaincy has links with many of the local Masajid, especially Muslim Welfare House and 91Ö±²¥ Grand Mosque.

Friday Prayer: Most staff and students go to either Muslim Welfare House or Risala Mosque. Prayer times are on their websites. If there is a clash with your timetable and Jummah, speak to your department in advance about reasonable adjustments.

Prayer rooms

The Muslim Welfare House of 91Ö±²¥

The Mosque is located at 10-12 Severn Road, Broomhill.

Friday prayers take place at 12.45pm in winter and 1.10pm in summer. In addition, there are a range of activities for everyone. Visit  for more information.

University prayer rooms

The University has prayer room facilities across campus for brothers and sisters, with Wudu facilities nearby. All prayer rooms are available for men and women.  

There are also prayer rooms in all of the hospitals.

Some University buildings may have restricted public access. Before you set off, you should check with the person or department organising your visit whether you will be able to access these facilities. If you require further information about spaces in the or the , contact these spaces directly.

International scholarships

We offer a generous package of financial support for international students, including undergraduate and postgraduate taught scholarships worth £10,000 towards the annual tuition fee.

Applications are open for existing offer holders for programmes starting in autumn 2025.
