Listening support from the BNBR Life Centre

The BNBR Life Centre offers a non-judgemental listening ear service, via a one to one conversation appointment.

If you want listening support, you can book in by emailing bnbr-life@sheffield.ac.uk , appointments are usually available within 3 to 5 days of requesting.

If you want to drop in and see a chaplain, there is usually someone around between 10am - 3pm Monday to Thursday during semester times.  


BNBR Life Centre facilities on campus

The BNBR Life Centre spaces are open 9.00am-5.00pm Monday to Friday during semesters and vacation times. 

Facilities, including a room for prayer, worship, quiet reflection and meditation, are available to all members of the University. There is also a Social Space for with tea and coffee available.

Student Faith Societies (registered with the Union of Students) are welcome to book our Gathering and Activities Spaces for meetings and workshops.

Muslim Prayer Rooms are situated in the Students’ Union and nearby the Information Commons, Diamond , George Porter, Firth Court, and inside the AMRC.  Please see here for more information.

International scholarships

We offer a generous package of financial support for international students, including undergraduate and postgraduate taught scholarships worth £10,000 towards the annual tuition fee.

Applications are open for existing offer holders for programmes starting in autumn 2025.
