Advisory board

The advisory board provide feedback on project progress and milestone delivery, and advise on future directions within and beyond the Spinner project.

On

The clinical and industrial representatives will provide advice from a clinical and industrial perspective and ensure that the ESR projects maintain their relevance throughout the duration of the project.

They will consider important issues that are often neglected by academics such as costs of manufacture and processing, handle-ability, shelf life and surgery time required for the developed procedure.

The academic advisors will provide advice on the best practice and complementary for ITNs within the broader discipline of orthopaedic biomechanics.


Advisory board members

Professor Cesare Faldini

鈥檚 scientific expertise includes spinal treatments and lower limb surgery. He has performed more than 6000 surgeries including spine, joint replacements, foot and ankle, paediatrics, upper limb and trauma.

Dr G谩bor Szenczi

is head of research and development (dental and spine) at , a medical device company based in Hungary. He is a collaborator of the .

Dr Sarrawat Rehman

is a chartered engineer with over 15 years combined experience in academic and industrial research and development in orthopaedics and spine. She is Chief Technology Officer at Ortheia, a UK company with expertise in implantable musculoskeletal technologies.

Professor Stephen Ferguson

is Professor of Biomechanics at the Institute for Biomechanics, , Switzerland. He has previously been a partner in an ITN project .
