Research Partnerships and Collaborations
We involved in a number of research partnerships and collaborations. This page describes some of these and links to their home sites.
TREnT, Tribology as an ENnabling Technology
TrEnT, TRibology as an ENnabling Technology is an EPSRC Centre to Centre Grant. The project is a collaboration between The Leonardo Centre at 91Ö±²¥, the Institute for Functional Surfaces at Leeds, California Institute of Technology, Norwegian University of Science and Technology, and the Max Planck Institute. The research combines the expertise of tribologists as an enabling discipline into the advanced nano-manufacturing and robotics/autonomous systems. The three work packages cover tribology for efficient grasping and manipulation, nano-manufacturing through tribo-nanoprinting, and locomotion for small scale robotics.
