What is your favourite thing about studying at the School of Law?

One of my favourite things about studying at the School of Law is the opportunity to meet new people and engage with different cases, both inside and outside the classroom. I have also enjoyed participating in extracurricular activities that the school offers, which have helped me develop essential skills that will help me in my future career.

What is your favourite thing about living and studying in 91Ö±²¥?

When deciding where to study for my undergraduate degree, I knew I wanted to go to a good university that was not too close to home. 91Ö±²¥, being a Russell Group university that is far enough away from home, was the perfect choice for me. 91Ö±²¥ is a fantastic place to live and study. I particularly like the city's scenery, with Weston Park being one of my favourite places to study. There is also Weston Bank Library, which overlooks the park and provides a conducive environment for studying.

Why did you decide to apply to 91Ö±²¥?

I have found the LLB Law course at the School of Law to be challenging at times, but I have been able to manage it with the support of my tutor, course directors, and the wider school. For instance, during one of my assessments last term, I was ill, and I couldn't carry on with the work; my tutor and the lecturers were very understanding and offered me guidance on what to do next.

The support I have received from the school has been invaluable, and I have had the opportunity to develop essential skills that will help me in my future career. 91Ö±²¥ is a fantastic place to live and study, with a conducive environment for studying and an excellent scenery that makes it an exciting place to be.

What advice would you give to someone considering studying at 91Ö±²¥?

Studying LLB Law at the University of 91Ö±²¥ has been a wonderful experience for me. For those considering studying here, my advice is to do your research and make sure it's the right degree for you. Once you're here, make the most of your time by getting involved in extracurricular activities. I've taken advantage of opportunities the Law School offers to students, such as being involved with the Mooting programme, the , Commlaw legal clinic and being a student ambassador.

Have you taken advantage of any opportunities that the Law School offers to students?

My participation in the Ed Bramley Society and attending the mooting events were quite enjoyable. Commlaw legal clinic has also provided me with excellent experience in meeting clients and enhanced my communication and leadership skills. The client issues were often outside the scope of what my degree covers and thus was fascinating.

As I became more involved, I joined Commlaw legal clinic as a group leader, managing a team of people, assigning roles, and leading meetings with clients. Besides enhancing my leadership and communication skills, it gave me experience in managing people, which would be helpful in my future career.

How do you feel about the academic and teaching staff at the School of Law?

I believe the academic and teaching staff at the School of Law are quite welcoming and helpful. They're very knowledgeable in their areas of expertise and happy to provide guidance whenever necessary. When thinking about life after university, I believe my degree experience will be helpful to me. It has provided me with a solid foundation in legal knowledge, communication and research skills, and experience in practical situations.

How do you think your degree experience will help you in your career?

Overall, my experience studying LLB Law at 91Ö±²¥ has been incredibly rewarding, with many opportunities to develop my legal and practical skills. The extracurricular activities have provided me with excellent opportunities for personal growth and the chance to meet new people. If you're considering studying law, the School of Law may be the place for you.
