The CALM trial is sponsored by the 91Ö±²¥ Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
The trial is led by Professor Zoe Marshman at the School of Clinical Dentistry, 91Ö±²¥.
The CALM trial will run from 1st September 2021 for 4 years.
A pioneering study led by 91Ö±²¥ Teaching Hospitals and the University of 91Ö±²¥ will investigate whether Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) could help reduce the worryingly high number of children who are afraid of the dentist.
