- Profile
-
I graduated from Liverpool University in 1990 and worked in general practice for 17 years and then moved to 91Ö±²¥ in 2007 and became a Clinical Teacher at the University of 91Ö±²¥. I work with the students on the BDS and DH&DT programmes as a clinical teacher in the clinical skills course and on the student teaching clinics. I completed my Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Education and became a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy in 2018. I have become more involved in working in student support over the time I have been clinical teacher and I was appointed Student Support lead for the School of Clinical Dentistry in 2019.

I teach all year groups of dental students both in the clinical skills courses and on the restorative undergraduate teaching clinics, where all aspects of restorative dental care is provided for patients. I am course lead for the undergraduate complete denture course.
I lead the VR-Simulation courses and I participate in ongoing work and research around integration of VR-Simulation into the curriculum, validation of feedback and development of new exercises.
