- Profile

My interests lie broadly in the conservation and restoration of forest ecosystems in the face of increasing pressures from human activity and climate change. I am particularly interested in how increasing frequency and intensity of wildfires threaten forests globally, and the ecosystem services they provide, from biodiversity conservation to carbon storage and wood production. My aim is to develop an understanding of how wildfires could compromise global efforts to restore hundreds of millions of hectares of forest, and to ensure that restoration focuses on creating resilient forest ecosystems that are capable of thriving in an increasingly hostile climate.
