Getting our house in order: improving conditions for co-produced research in UK higher education

On 5th December 2024 the Co-Pro Futures Inquiry launched its Call for Evidence and Ideas during an online event. The Co-Pro Futures Inquiry is a two-year project (2024-2026) funded by Research England Participatory Research Funds.

The Inquiry is being led Universities of Liverpool, Manchester and 91Ö±²¥. The Co-leads are Professors  Beth Perry, , and .

The Co-Pro Futures Inquiry will propose measures to address barriers to participatory and co-produced research within universities and the higher education sector. Over the next two years this will involve workshops, desk-based secondary analysis, interviews, and a high-profile panel who will identify actions that can be put into practice. 
 
The Call for Evidence and Ideas is one key way that we want to gather collective intelligence to support the sector-wide deliberation and development of an action plan. 

The call for submissions is open until February 28th 2025.

We are looking for evidence of the size and scale of the problem and actions and solutions that are already being tried and tested submitted by academic researchers, co-researchers, partner organisations, professional service staff, University leaders and managers, infrastructure organisations, funders, higher education policy-makers.
