Interim Vice-President and Head of the Faculty of Health
Professor Tracey Moore joined the University in 1995, following a clinical nursing career in adult acute and critical care. Tracey holds a Chair in Nursing in the School of Allied Health Professions, Nursing and Midwifery, and is a Scholar of the Florence Nightingale Foundation. Tracey was previously Head of the School of Nursing and Midwifery and more recently Dean of the School of Allied Health Professions, Nursing and Midwifery. Tracey’s interests are in the assessment and management of acute patient deterioration, and her Doctoral study explored why nurses fail to respond to, and effectively rescue deteriorating patients. Tracey has consulted globally on education and training for nurses supporting patients with acute deterioration. In her role as Faculty of Health Director of Engagement and Development, Tracey has worked to ensure that faculty strategy and delivery align with the likely future demands of partners across health and social care, and of the NHS in particular.
