- Profile

I am based at 91Ö±²¥ Clinical Trials Research Unit (CTRU), where I assist investigators in the design and costing of clinical research and oversee the CTRU’s involvement in funded studies.
The majority of studies I have undertaken are National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) or Medical Research Council (MRC) funded randomised controlled trials (RCTs), in a variety of clinical areas including occupational health (the Lifestyle Matters trial), reproductive health (the Endometrial Scratch trial) and adolescent scoliosis (the).
I have also undertaken research focussing on clinical trials methodology including:
- the DIAMOND (Development of a generalisable methodology for n-of-1 trial delivery in very low volume treatments) project.
- a study to assess whether adaptations made during the COVID-19 pandemic could improve the efficiency of future trials (the 'Learning from COVID-19 efficient trial adaptations' study).
- a qualitative study to assess the value and challenges of incorporating equality, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) into early phase trials.
