People with learning disabilities have poorer health and shorter life expectancy than the general population, differences that are, to some degree, avoidable. They face inequalities in access to and use of health services and are often excluded from research, which limits the extent to which the findings are relevant and applicable to them. In this webinar Liz will talk about adapting the Slimming World intervention with and for people with learning disabilities.

Dr Croot will be joined by Jodie Bradley and Vicky Farnsworth will talk about some of the work they have been involved in with University research teams, NHS clinical commissioning groups, local authorities and government departments, to make sure people with learning disabilities are valued and included in society.
