Dr David Hollis was invited by Professor Maaike Endedijk, head of the section of Education Sciences at The University of Twente in The Netherlands, to present to members of the Faculty of Behavioural, Management and Social Sciences. The presentation, which was titled ‘Reflexively Accounting for my Own and Others’ Shifting Subjectivities during an Ethnography’, was delivered to and discussed among approximately 25 faculty members on 26th September 2022.

Dr Hollis presented his experiences of conducting ethnographic research within a cosmetics firm and facilitated discussions around attendees’ experiences of researcher reflexivity. Further, he drew on his recently published, lead-authored article within Organization Studies to offer some insights into how researchers may wish to explore the shifting subjectivities of those they study during fieldwork.
