Roles and responsibilities

• Deputise for Departmental Manager
• Line manage operational and research administrative team
• Provide specialist advice on HR matters
• Lead all staff recruitment processes
• Responsible for staff contract extensions
• Responsible for research staff inductions
• Provide confirmation of employment letters
• Monitor departmental budgets (non research accounts) including approving expenditure
• Manage departmental procure to pay financial processes
• Member of Physics & Astronomy Equality and Diversity Committee
• Member of SoMaS Good Practice Group
• Lead projects related to operational activities at departmental or Faculty level
