Following the departure of Andrea Haworth, the management of the Industrial Doctorate Centre (IDC) in Machining Science has been restructured.

Clare Clarke has been promoted to Centre Coordinator, continuing to work part-time 80 per cent of a FTE role, overseeing the day-to-day administration of the centre. She will be responsible for University facing activity, providing representation at relevant university stakeholder meetings and the overview of centre processes and governance.

Pete Crawforth joined the IDC as Technical Lead on 1 April 2016. Initially, his role is 20 per cent of a FTE role and in August it will increase to 50 per cent. He will be responsible for the external marketing of the centre, liaison with sponsors and identification and generation of sponsored projects, and integration within AMRC.
