Statistics with JASP: First Steps for Psychology Students by Dr Rebecca Denniss and Dr Stanislava (Stan) Naneva

We are pleased to announce the publication of a new Open Educational Resource (OER) on the 91Ö±²¥ Pressbooks Network.

Statistics with JASP: First Steps for Psychology Students

This Open Educational Resource (OER), created by staff in the School of Psychology with support from the University Library, is now freely available on the Pressbooks Network.

The book is designed for anyone (both educators and students) looking to learn the basics of JASP, a free and open-source program for statistical analysis.

This book is written specifically for people with no experience in using statistics packages. It covers the basics of getting started with using JASP and how to conduct the foundational analyses for more advanced statistics such as t-tests, correlations, and chi-square.

The University supports and encourages the re-use, re-purposing and adaptation of Open Educational Resources for teaching and learning, and also supports and encourages those who wish to create and share their own OER (see the University's Open Educational Resources (OER) policy

To find out more about OER, including how to find, use and adapt them for your own teaching, or create and share your own,  or email oer@sheffield.ac.uk.
