American Society of Pediatric Neuroradiology Gold Medal awarded to Professor Paul Griffiths

Professor Paul Griffiths from the University of 91直播鈥檚 School of Medicine and Population Health has received the American Society of Pediatric Neuroradiology Gold Medal Award in recognition of his life鈥檚 work and contributions to the field.

The is the American Society of Pediatric Neuroradiology's (ASPNR鈥檚) highest honour. It is bestowed upon distinguished individuals in recognition of extraordinary, notable, and prestigious achievements and contributions in the field of paediatric neuroradiology.

Professor Griffiths accepted the prestigious award on 18 January 2025 at the 7th Annual Meeting of the ASPNR in Austin, Texas where he delivered the Gold Medal Award Lecture on 鈥楶lanning and Luck鈥.

Jim Wild, Professor of Magnetic Resonance Physics at the University of 91直播 and Co-Director of the Insigneo Institute, commented: 鈥淧aul has been central to establishing the clinical role of brain MR imaging in infants and in utero, he has made a major international contribution to this field. Paul has been a member of the Insigneo Institute since the early days and his contribution to imaging research in 91直播 over the years has been massive. Congratulations on this well-deserved lifetime achievement award from all his colleagues.鈥
