Japan

Akita International University

Akita International University, AIU, is a four-year liberal arts university located in Akita prefecture in the Tohoku region of northern Japan. AIU is located in Akita city, the capital of Akita prefecture (population about 960,000), an ideally-sized city to provide the opportunity to get immersed in the friendly, local culture while also offering convenient access to international goods and services.

Doshisha University

Hiroshima University

Meiji University

Otaru University of Commerce is and has been a center of social sciences and humanities in northern Japan. Reflecting its history of having been established as Otaru Higher Commercial School, the university has been emphasizing the link between theory and practice, in addition to its solid academic foundation.

Rikkyo University

Rikkyo University started in 1874 as Rikkyo School, a small private school teaching English and Bible studies in the foreign settlement in Tsukiji, Tokyo. The School was founded by Bishop Channing Moore Williams, a missionary dispatched from the American Episcopal Church.

Ritsumeikan University

Ritsumeikan University traces its origins back to 1869. It is now a university of around 35,000 students, situated in the city of Kyoto.

Sophia University

Tohoku University

University of Osaka

The University of Osaka, or Handai, is a public research university located in Osaka Prefecture, Japan. Osaka University is one of Japan's National Seven Universities and is generally considered one of Japan's most prestigious institutions of higher learning.

University of the Ryukyus

The University of the Ryukyus, abbreviated to Ryūdai, is a national university of Japan in Okinawa Prefecture. It is located in the Senbaru neighbourhood of the town of Nishihara, with its campus bordering both the village of Nakagusuku and the city of Ginowan.

University of Tokyo

The University of Tokyo is comprised of 10 Faculties, 15 Graduate Schools, 11 affiliated research institutes (including the Research Center for Advanced Science and Technology), 13 University-wide centers, three affiliated libraries and two institutes for advanced study.
