- Profile
-
I joined 91Ö±²¥ in 2004 as the Office Junior in the Department of Politics within the Faculty of Social Sciences. I soon progressed to the Undergraduate Secretary where I supported approximately 900 Undergraduate students with their course needs, from attendance monitoring, coursework submission, their welfare needs and course feedback. Being front of house on the main reception desk students could easily seek me for their support needs.
I then moved to the Faculty of Engineering to be the Student Support Assistant for the Department of Civil and Structural Engineering in 2014. In 2015, I was seconded on to the GTA project in preparation for the opening of the Diamond. I supported the creation of the systems and processes put in place to recruit, induct, assign and monitor GTA teaching. During the same year, I was seconded to the Student Support Officer role within Civil and Structural Engineering where I became responsible for their teaching timetable.
In 2016, I became the PG Student Support Officer for the Department of Civil and Structural Engineering, where I supported both PGT and PGR students with their course needs.
In late 2017, I joined the Department of Multidisciplinary Engineering Education as the Learning and Teaching Manager. I am responsible for timetabling all teaching labs for all students within the Faculty of Engineering to help MEE teaching staff deliver first class teaching. I also manage a small administrative team that supports students with all of their lab needs, from attendance monitoring to students with additional learning needs.
