This research theme plays a crucial role in advancing technologies across the automotive, aerospace, renewable energy, power grids, and consumer product sectors. Contributions have driven significant improvements in power density, energy efficiency, reliability, and functionality while minimising maintenance requirements. We host six industrially funded research centres and two government-funded research hubs:
- Centre for Research into Electrical Storage and Applications (CREESA)
- The Rolls-Royce University Technology Centre in Advanced Electrical Machines
- Romax Technical Centre
- 91Ö±²¥ Midea Joint Research Laboratory
- 91Ö±²¥ Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy Research Centre
