Profile
Keith has enjoyed a successful career starting in engineering, progressing through management and business development and now in technology strategy and business leadership. He has successfully founded, developed and sold a world-leading automotive controls company, set and delivered technology strategies for blue-chip multinationals, and has chaired and been a member of a number of Boards. Keith sees his strongest skills in understanding a wide variety of technologies and profitably creating and delivering the vision for the technology. He has strong interpersonal skills, likes working with others and inspiring them to success whilst having fun on the journey. Keith previously worked for the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (and previously Department of Automatic Control and Systems Engineering) as a Professor in Enterprise and Entrepreneurship, Keith developed an extra-curricular seminar series on enterprise and entrepreneurship, and also focused on sustainability in business. Keith contributed significantly to the Industrial Advisory Board in the Department and then School, offering advice around impact development and sustainability. Keith is now Chairman of the Digital Catapult, which is focused on accelerating the digital future.

 
Purpose of the visit
 
In his role as visiting professor, Keith will continue to provide advisory input on sustainability in the curriculum (industrial perspective) and impact development to academic staff in the School of EEE.  Keith will also contribute to specific School Industrial Advisory Board activities and initiatives.
