Panos joined the University of 91Ö±²¥ in October 2014, having previously worked in the Department of Economics at the University of Southampton. He completed a DPhil in Economics at the University of Oxford.
He also holds an MPhil in Economics from the University of Oxford and a BA in International and European Economic Studies from Athens University of Economics and Business.

Panos’ research interests lie in the broad field of labour economics. His work focuses on labour markets characterised by trading frictions.
Using both applied theory and applied econometrics, often combined into structural modelling, Panos has examined a range of specific research questions, including the determinants of native-migrant wage differentials, the impact of the minimum wage on labour market outcomes, and the patterns of worker reallocation across firms and local labour markets.
Panos is interested in supervising PhD students in labour economics and applied econometrics.
