Research interests

Project Title

The Impact of Urban Form and Building Design on Urban Community Solar Microgrid (UCSM) Potential

Project outline

Currently, Aisyah’s research interests focus on urban buildings and energy, as buildings and urban areas consume significant amounts of energy for their activities. Her research on urban building energy emphasises not only how energy efficiency can be achieved but also how urban buildings can function as energy generators to supply clean energy to the city. Her PhD research focuses on how urban buildings and spaces can support solar photovoltaic integration. Utilising physics-based simulations and field studies, she aims to develop a context-sensitive modelling framework to evaluate the impact of urban form and building design on community-based solar energy systems.
