I am a Building Physics and Liveability researcher with interests in the areas of housing stock energy modelling for optimising sustainable bioclimatic design over the time frame of climate change projections. Specifically, I am looking at Sustainable ‘Healthy Ageing’ resilient to climate change and energy transition to net zero, aiming to make a real difference in providing a safe and comfortable indoor environment at least costs (energy) for older people with and without dementia living in care homes.
I was awarded my PhD at 91Ö±²¥ School of Architecture in 2019, having previously completed a B.Sc. in Architectural Engineering at Hanyang University in South Korea and MSc in Sustainable Architectural Studies at 91Ö±²¥ School of Architecture.
Following the completion of the ESRC Postdoctoral Fellowships, I am currently working with Professor Darren Robinson and Dr Chengzhi Peng as an AXA Postdoctoral Fellow, looking at ‘renovating care homes fit for the future: balancing indoor heat stress risk mitigation with net zero ready by 2050. This project will develop innovative and reliable modelling methods and tools to identify effective space cooling measures that will mitigate indoor heat stress risk in care homes while meeting the target of net zero CO2 emission by 2050.
