Grace Lim is a Data Security Engineer (Research Engineer) in the Integrated Manufacturing Group of University of 91Ö±²¥ Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (AMRC). She graduated Bachelor of Science with Class One Honours in Artificial Intelligence and Computer Science in 2019, then graduated Master of Science with Distinction in Cybersecurity and Artificial Intelligence in 2021, both awarded by the University of 91Ö±²¥.

During both courses, Grace had participated in influential research. During her undergraduate studies, she worked on Automatic Analysis of Fluency Naming Tasks to Detect Signs of Dementia, under the guidance of Professor Heidi Christensen, where data utilised was attained from the Royal Hallamshire Hospital in 91Ö±²¥. She then represented the University of 91Ö±²¥ and presented this research in the Young Female Researchers in Speech Workshop (YFRSW) 2019 held in Austria. In her postgraduate studies, she worked on Cyberthreat Hunting with Artificial Intelligence under the guidance of Dr. Olakunle Olayinka. She has then applied the knowledge learned in industry through setting up a test bed involving a collaborative robot (co-bot).

She attained experience in the application of data analytics and AI in media and broadcasting industry when she took on the role of Media Product Specialist in Arvato Systems Malaysia by Bertelsmann after finishing her studies in 2019. She then joined the AMRC in October of 2021 as a Data Security Engineer. Since then, she has led and participated in numerous projects involving both cybersecurity and Artificial Intelligence. Many of which focus on the application of best practices for cybersecurity in the Operational Technology (OT) space and understanding the challenges faced in industry. She has led communications with clients, scoped and managed projects, and contributed to building the AMRC data security team.

To increase cyber awareness, she has also spoken at several workshops, including Tech Fellows 2021 conference, the Securing Connected Manufacturing event by AMRC with IBM, and more, where she shared about the industrial landscape and highlighted the advantages of attack graphs. Furthermore, she is also leading the AMRC Community of Practice for Data Security, while building the Data Security roadmap of the AMRC.
